Joseph Alois Ratzinger, known to the world as the Bishop of Rome (Pope) Benedict XVI, has pedophilic blood on his hands.
Figuratively, at least.
It’s been disclosed that the Munich diocese that he oversaw as an archbishop transferred a priest suspected of pedophilia to another position. It is inconceivable, despite Vatican protestations to the contrary, that Ratzinger did not know the facts of the details of the case and did not chose to pass the pedophile on to another assignment–one at which the scum was later caught and convicted of child sexual abuse.
This is atop the already-known fact that the pontiff, while running the office of Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith in 2001, wrote a letter to all bishops directing that his office would handle all matters of pedophilial accusations internally, and that such matters were to be regarded as pontifical secrets (making it a sin to reveal the matters).
This is all very interesting, being that
- Bishops of the Irish Catholic Church repeatedly asked for clarification on what that 2001 letter exactly meant.
- The Vatican never responded to the requests.
- Last month the pope called those Irish bishops in for a “discussion” of the matter.
In the Catholic Church, it’s business as usual.
In America, that’s called obstruction of justice.
